What is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)?
A licensed practical nurse provides hands-on patient care. This includes administering medications, monitoring vitals, and assisting with treatments, all under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
About the Course
Meet Nathalie Badua, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) from Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi, whose path into nursing was shaped by watching healthcare teams care for her sister through years of medical challenges. As an LPN, Nathalie provides hands-on patient care — from administering medications and wound treatments to rounding on residents and coordinating with CNAs and RNs throughout every shift. This profession is a blend of clinical knowledge, emotional resilience, and genuine compassion, making it one of the most meaningful and in-demand roles in healthcare today.
